BAMIYAN CULTURAL CENTER

Inspired by Afghanistan’s landscape and culture, the multifunctional building is embedded in the terrain, facing the Buddha cliff. Designed as a competition entry for the UNESCO Kabul Office, its cubic form reflects local architecture, while internal courtyards bring natural light and create contemplative spaces. The sloping site connects active and quiet zones, with the cultural center acting as a transition toward the Buddha statues
